Barbed wire and bullets. If you didn't know where it was, Sweetwater Valley was a hard place to find. But it was rich bottom land, prized by any man who saw it. For years the big cattle ranchers had been using the open ranges and valleys for wintering their stock. They didn't like the idea of newcomers. Wagon train ruts were fast slicing up the territory and deepening the resentment. The days when a man could run his cattle from one horizon to the others were dying. But time was on the side of the homesteaders. Or was it?
