Microbiology and biotechnology is part of the Cambridge Modular Sciences series for A and AS level. It develops an understanding of the diversity of microorganisms and an appreciation of the specialised techniques required for their preparation, growth and monitoring. The development and scope of biotechnology are also examined, as well as its applications in food production, health care, medicine and manufacturing.
