Hugh Trevor-Roper is a Europe-centric Historian. His book the rise of Christian Europe is all about how Europe and its neighbours, prospered, pillaged and lost lands. Roper discusses the different stages of European history from the fall of the Roman Empire, the rise of the Persian conquest, the coming to power of Islam, the Moslem attacks on Europe, crusades, medieval renaissance and finally the Americas.
