Mechanical diagnosis and therapy: The upper limb

Mark Laslett provides a conceptual framework to identify and integrate the most useful aspects of apparently conflicting examination and treatment systems for common painful musculoskeletal disorders of the limbs. The system uses a modified Cyriax method for identifying "pain generators" and a McKenzie style of examination to determine type of pathology. The system helps the clinician identify the correct type, timing and use of mechanical therapies such as rest, exercise, friction massage, mobilization and manipulation. Illustrated.
