Contains the proceedings of a unique workshop sponsored by the Chief Scientist Office in Scotland and the Cardiovascular Research Unit at the University of Edinburgh in November 1985. The workshop dealt with the biological evidence for screening for risk of coronary heart disease, the practical strategies to be recommended, and the costs and benefits of the procedures.
