Operational Research

Operational research has evolved in order to solve complex real-life problems in several variables, which may be of a military, business, or scientific nature. Maintaining a mathematician's viewpoint throughout, the author concentrates on certain mathematical aspects of operational research which lead to a variety of workable models. The text is intended primarily as a single mini-course in operational research, introducing several topics in the subject usually found in separate volumes. Provides numerous references and exercises.
