Prosecuting a murder case, Butch Karp, an assistant D.A., is determined to insure that Mandeville Louis, a vicious killer, does not escape the justice he so richly deserves, but Louis, confined to a psychiatric ward, has come up with a scheme to escape, a plot that targets Karp's lover Marlene Ciampi.
