Rosalba

Rosalba York has drifted into marrying Edgar Carlow. Because she refuses to take part in his scheme for extorting money from Sir Gus Rainham, a dissolute baronet, Carlow abandons her. She is rescued by Hugh Rainham, the baronet's cousin, a man she thought she hated. Rosalba falls in love with Hugh, but when she is transported to remote Derbyshire, her high hopes are crushed and she is faced with a terrible dilemma.
