Neurology: Student Notes

Designed to provide medical students with a short and practical introduction to clinical neurology, this text contains three main sections. The first deals with taking a history and carrying out an examination of the nervous system, the second with radiological, electrophysiological and laboratory investigations and the third with the commoner diseases that affect the nervous system. The emphasis is on how to acquire the clinical skills needed for diagnosis and management. When writing about diseases of the nervous system the author has concentrated on conditions which are important either because they are common or because they are treatable and has also explained the relevant neuroanatomy and neurophysiology where necessary.
