An atlas of virus ultrastructure (using techniques of electron microscopy), the second, expanded edition of this reference and teaching work covers developments in technique and newly discovered viruses. Many microscopists have contributed new micrographs, each of which is fully notated as regards isolation, characteristic features and classification. Areas of increasing importance in virus diagnosis, such as AIDS, Legionnaires' disease and hepatitis, are fully covered.
