Loving Becky

Desperate to recoup money lost at cards to the  wily Squire Tallant, the dissipated Earl of Ruxton  betrays his second son by wagering his hand in  marriage to Tallant's young daughter. Alex and Becky  are horrified to learn what their fathers have  done to them, and having been manipulated into a  betrothal that neither of them desires, the couple  sets out to free themselves of the mess that their  fathers have dropped them in. Their differences  seem vast--the only common ground being their  efforts to avoid the marriage that looms before them--until they realize that they are working against the very thing that they both want most.  Loving Becky is an absolute charmer,  packed with humor and warmth.
