Grumpy Bunnies

Grumpy Bunnies have a very busy day getting ready for school, learning lessons, playing on the playground, snacking on crackers after school, and going to bed. From School Library Journal PreSchool-Grade 1-In this story told in rhyme, groggy wake ups, lumpy oatmeal, and "frumpy faces" start the day for three little rabbits. At school, their outlook changes as they go "jungle gymming" and enjoy "munching lunches," and "learning lessons/numbers/dancing/songs and sings." The day continues to improve with a "huggy mommy," bubble bath, and a comfy bed. These bunnies need their sleep because "there's another day ahead." Youngsters will identify with the siblings and their slow, grumpy start. Descriptive phrases such as "stumble bumbling" and "snuffle snoring" linger as children read and laugh through this sweet book.
