Aspects of Credit and Debt is a collection of essays written by lawyers, economists and social policy experts who look at the problems of credit and debt. It concentrates on the plight of poor consumers who, facing the highest charges for credit, become entrapped by spiralling debt with the growth of out "credit society". It includes a paper by Sir Gordon Borrie on the responsibilities of lenders, borrowers and regulators in the light of his experience at the Office of Fair Trading.
