Black, White or Mixed Race?: Race and Racism in the Lives of Young People of Mixed Parentage

In this milestone work, the authors explore the issue of mixed race identity, especially in relation to social work policy. In-depth interviews reveal adolescents' perception of their racial identity, its role in their lives, their feelings about having one black and one white parent, their attitude to black and white people, allegiance to black and white cultures, their experience of, and ways of coping with racism.
