J.A. Hobson: A Collection of Economic Works (Collected Works)
Description:
J.A. Hobson (1858-1940) was one of the most influential economic, social and political theorists in Britain this century. He was an original thinker who refused to treat economics in isolation from related subjects and it was his power to synthesize that made his work extremely valuable.
This collection focuses on his writings in economics - his best remembered contribution on the theory of underconsumption was heralded by Keynes as a pioneering work and has also had a considerable impact on many subsequent economists. Two of the volumes are devoted to articles and all six have new introductions.
