The Geography of Border Landscapes

International contributors draw upon divergent geographical traditions and cover many different border regions in Asia, the Far East, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. They deal both with the problems of contemporary international boundary conflicts and the historical evolution of border landscapes. New approaches and directions in defining and elaborating the border landscape concept are explored, and the impact of political decision-making and ideological differences on the environment in border areas is examined.
