Is Shakespeare still our contemporary?

This study examines the relevance of Jan Kott's work, Shakespeare Our Contemporary, for contemporary theatre and addresses such questions as whether Shakespeare was sexist, and how well his plays have been adapted for such 20th-century entertainment as television or film.
