Galactic Club

Interest in the possibility of life in outerspace is intense. Do we have neighbors? Will we contact them? What will their interest in us be--friendly or hostile? We do not know. This book explores these questions and offers answers culled from disciplines ranging from physics to anthropology. Professor Bracewell belongs to the American Astronomical Society and the Royal Astronomical Society and is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He joined the Stanford faculty in 1955.
