The author's first book was "The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman"this book is a novel about a small, rural black community in the deep South, in a moment not long past. It is about a minister, a civl rights leader , a man of substance and stature, a devoted husband and father who is suddenly brought to face to face with the sins of his youth.
