Sin in the Secular Age

From back cover of 1974 edition: At this moment in history, we have to return to the great prophetic tradition which reaches its summit in Christ. There, sin is seen above all as a lack of knowledge of God or a falsified image of God, and is manifested by lack of love and mercy. It is the unjust and merciless attitude toward the neighbor and specially toward the poor. It is refusal of the Covenant.
