Playing Favorites

Evan couldn't take much more of the fighting at home. His dad had walked out on them, and his mom was on his case day and night. All he could think about was getting old enough to leave - until he met a special girl named Teddy, who made him feel good for a change. It was Teddy who got Evan out of his shell and on the air - with his own blues program on the school radio show. If things could go smoothly with Teddy, Evan thought he could handle the rough times at home. But then bad news hit him like a one-two punch to the heart. Was it time to walk away from it all - or stay to take another chance at caring again?
