Daring Deception

Daring Deception is the fourth Harlequin Regency romance novel written by Brenda Hiatt. It is issue #102 of the Harlequin Regency romance series. In this novel, Gavin Alexander, the sixth Earl of Seabrooke, is in dire need of an heiress. Along with his new title as Duke came a mountain of debts, and he is quickly losing his connection with high society. When Sir Thomas Chesterton, in order to repay a gaming debt, offers his sister and her wealth, Seabrooke believes his troubles have come to an end and takes up the offer. But Frederica Chesterton, his betrothed, is not willing to quietly meet her fate. Frederica, out of desperation, enters Seabrooke's household and poses as an assistant housemaid. While doing this she comes across two alarming discoveries.
