Caught by FBI agent Regina O'Doul as he is testing a friend's art-theft security system, Jake Guiness finds himself under suspicion for being "The Highwayman," a real thief the FBI is trying to find. While his name is being cleared, Jake offers entree into the rich art world to his increasingly attractive captor, who is forced to pose as his lover. Driven to succeed by memories of her father, Reggie is suspicious and prickly but also lonely.
