Two musically gifted young cousins, Max, the girl with the boy's name, and Toni, vice versa, have been brought up under the tyrannous rule of Aunt Charlotte. Their lives, however, are dramatically transformed when Charlotte gifts them to the charismatic Professor Labat, known as The Maestro.
