Stafford Cripps

Stafford Cripps' political career started late, but at the age of 40, even before he had secured a parliamentary seat, he joined the Labour cabinet. Later, in 1947 he became Chancellor of the Exchequer. This book explores his political career, his communist sympathies and conservative tastes.
