Biology Modules

This volume provides biology students and teachers a cluster of "fleshed-out" modules. Each chapter consists of a concise set of notes interspersed with "key questions" to test students' knowledge and understanding, and to consolidate the learning process. Each chapter is followed by a varied selection of exercises designed to give practice in and preparation for the end-of-chapter assessment. Other features include an assessment pack, containing end-of-chapter assessments, record of assessment summary sheets and answers to questions. The text can be used as an alternative to SCE Higher-Grade Biology for students who are likely to study the Higher course; and can be used as a Pre-Higher course for students who require a preparatory year before tackling SCE Higher Biology or other areas of further education; can be used as part of the General Science course for senior pupils who may choose one or more modules from the book to add to modules from science disciplines.
