Changes in global climate between now and the middle of the 21st century are likely to be dominated by the influence of global warming, an inevitable consequence of which will be the rise of sea levels. This book is the first in a series recording the results of studies on the impact of climate changes on the ecologic systems and socio-economic structures of each of the main regional sea areas. The text contains expert contributions from an international team organized under the auspices of UNEP (United Nations Environmental Program).
