Flood Tide

John Ridgway first hit the headlines back in 1966 when, along with Chay Blyth, he rowed across the Atlantic. Today, John and his family live in Ardmore, in remote north-west Scotland. As well as running one of the UK's most successful and long-established adventure schools, John is also a crofter, a way of life that is fast disappearing. and then there are the winter expeditions to the Spanish Sahara, Nepal, Patagonia and the Amazon, and the two epic circumnavigations of the world's oceans by sailing yacht.
