Taylor (U. of Leeds), Barr and Steele (both U. of Glasgow) argue that current challenges faced by higher education are leading to the effective incorporation of the academic world into the arena of corporate capital and its ideology. Radical educators must counter this trend, and reassert a progressive and revitalized commitment to a higher education which is critical, skeptical, and encourages open and vigorous contestation of knowledge and values.
