In Miserable Slavery: Thomas Thislewood in Jamaica, 1750-36

Thomas Thistlewood was a small landowner in Western Jamaica during the 18th century. He chronicled the daily life around him until his death in 1786 and his papers amount to some 10,000 pages which professor Hall uses in this book to give an insight into the social history of Jamaica.
