In the golden age of Hollywood no one could approach the sensuous, androgynous glamour of Marlene Dietrich. From early success with such films as "The Blue Angel" and "Shanghai Express" she progressed and developed her acting range to include films such as "Kismet" and "Destry Rides Again". In this autobiography Marlene tells her own story, from her childhood in Berlin, and tells of her sad return to Germany during World War II - as an American GI. She remembers the men who have influenced her life, like the director Josef von Sternberg. Also included are the men she loved including Ernest Hemingway.
