A Lasting Spring

On a May morning in 1945, a woman waits in a Manchester teashop for a stranger to walk through the door. That stranger will be a man she hasn't seen for nearly two years - her husband coming home from the war. While she waits, her thoughts go back over 20 years of growing and fulfilment.
