Heartburn

Brilliant journalist Nora Ephron has concocted an acidic first novel from the ingredients of a two-career couple's life in New York and Washington and on the Eastern Shuttle in between. She garnished it with recipes from protagonist Rachel Samstat, the pregnant celebrity cookbook author who finds out her husband is having an affair, and serves it with witty commentary on sex, betrayal, jealousy, divorce, and therapy. The result is "Heartburn", a story that will leave you laughing through the tears.
