California Legal Ethics (American Casebook Series)

This book is intended for use in California law school courses that teach the fundamentals of legal ethics. Each chapter begins with a set of problems drawn from decided cases, ethics opinions, the writings of scholars in the field, and the authors' experience in teaching and law practice. The authors have provided realistic problems—the kinds that arise with disturbing frequency in the daily practice of law. For each major topic, there is background reading material that illustrates the variety of sources to which a lawyer or judge can turn when seeking answers to ethics questions.
