Lives and Times: A World History Reader, Volume I

This two-volume book of readings is varied and covers all aspects of history: political, cultural, and especially social. It covers all historical periods and geographic areas. Focuses on the lives and experiences of both ordinary and eminent people in history. This is an excellent companion to Upshur et al., WORLD HISTORY, 2nd, but is varied enough to be used with other text books as well.
