The Limits of Mortality: An Essay of Wordsworth's Major Poems

The purpose of this book is to trace through a number of poems of Wordsworth's major period (1798-1805, roughly) some of his major preoccupations, especially with the phenomenon of human death and with the relation of the human soul to the eternal Nature which lies within and behind the changing aspects of things as man has experienced them.
