Last Day
Description:
Charlie Wolf is an undercover cop assigned to infiltrate the Sons of Fire motorcycle club, suspected of manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine up and down the East Coast. Charlie's been undercover for a long time--long enough to have broken the two cardinal rules of his work. He's forged a strong friendship with Ray Sasso, president of the Sons of Fire. And he's become addicted to meth.
In the heat of the cops' planned bust, Charlie, high on meth and not sure where his loyalties lie, makes a near-fatal mistake. The shoot-out leaves a bullet lodged in the right temporal lobe of Charlie's brain--an area known to be the center of paranormal activity. Operating to remove the bullet would likely kill Charlie. Living with it will change him forever.
Ray Sasso knows that one man set him on the path to hell: the arrest, the loss of his power, the destruction of his body, the disintegration of his family. Charlie Wolf. It's Wolf who must pay for Sasso's downfall. But where is Charlie Wolf? Who is he?
Charlie doesn't know himself anymore. The psychotic episodes, which his doctors trace to the bullet in his brain, have grown worse, stranger, altering his very perceptions of the world. He is living in a nightmare from which he cannot wake. One man, Charlie knows, holds the key to his prison--Ray Sasso.
Two men linked forever by a tangle of lies and twisted loyalties and a moment of bloody violence. Two men who could not be more dissimilar--or more the same. When they meet again, for one it will be the Last Day.
