Orwell's Politics

Examines British writer George Orwell's (1903-50) political thinking from his time as a policeman in Burma through the publication of his 1984 . Traces his response to imperialism, mass unemployment in the 1930s, revolution in Spain, and World War II as well as his involvement with various political organizations and publications.
