The Global Past: Prehistory to 1500

Mapping the Global Past workbook helps students learn geography and apply it to their study of history. For every part, two maps from the text are reprinted with incremental sets of exercises that ask students to: 1) locate cities, regions, geographical features, and sociopolitical movements on the maps. 2) draw information from The Global Past to determine how geography affected the unfolding of historical events. 3) think critically beyond the map toward conclusions about the role of geography in the course of world history.
