Super-religious guys who hung out with Jesus, carried his bags, listened to his stories (that usually went over their heads), did their best to be bodyguards for Jesus (well, except at the end, when they let that narc Judas slip in one last time), and despite being dense most of the time were the best friends Jesus had.Okay, for being Christ’s closest friends, the disciples were clueless, selfish, erratic, inconsistent, and faithless at least half the time.And Jesus loved them and used them all the more for it.
