Description:
This two-CD set is a companion to Christina E. Kramer's textbook, Macedonian: A Course for Beginning and Intermediate Students. The CDs provide supplementary materials to assist students in learning to speak, read, and write Macedonian and provide a cultural dimension to language learning. While the textbook can be used alone for classroom or self-study, the CD set is intended as a supplement, not a stand-alone grammar. An exciting and unique feature of the CDs is having native Macedonian speakers pronounce the vocabulary words and read the exercises from the book. There also are many interactive exercises for listening comprehension and grammar review. In addition, the CDs contain a representative selection of traditional Macedonian songs, complete with lyrics and an English translation, many photographs that were not included in the book, and video clips of life in Macedonia today. Complete instructions for installing the program are included inside. The program runs on PCs using Windows 95 or 98, and requires 200 MB of free space on the computer's hard drive for installation.
