Vanishing British Columbia

Kluckner has ranged over the length and breadth of this province, making watercolors of buildings, structures, fields, and vistas, often located in remote areas. One hundred and sixty of his paintings are reproduced in color, arranged by region. For each, Kluckner has compiled a remarkably thorough record combining history, the locals' memories of the places, and the fate of the buildings, farms, hotels, and towns, resulting in an often poignant history of old British Columbia.
