On Island Time

Tells the story of the author's exploration of the natural world of her new home (Quadra Island off the east coast of Vancouver Island), and her search for the fitting house design for the setting. Including her drawings of various birds, plants, and other wildlife, the book recounts how she expanded her knowledge of the inter-connectedness of the local habitat, the knowledge she gained of the lives of past and current residents of the island, and finally her plans for fixing up an old run-down cabin and landscaping the grounds around it.
