Revolutionary Ceramics: Soviet Porcelain 1917-1927

Ms. Lobanov-Rostovsky has thoroughly researched this art form which is iconic in its representation of the era in which it was produced. The photo layouts show accurate examples of the application of the artists' craft in propaganda for the 1917 Russian Revolution - providing a useful output for the newly liberated artists and a path to literacy for the revolutionary peasants and workers. This book has allowed me to more closely understand the historical context of the revolutionary porcelain in my personal collection.
