Rescue : Jesus and Salvation Today

Peter Selby's statement starts from the question, 'Who needs rescue?' He finds that question sending him back to the New Testament's account of a Jesus who makes an offer both to needy individuals and to their community through the power of his name, the pattern of his life, the sacrifice of his death and the promise he holds out to us. It is a rescue that is releasing and demanding at the same time.
