Health Sciences Information Sources is the first complete and up-to-date guide to information sources in this rapidly expanding field. Intended as a companion volume to Dr. Chen's Scientific and Technical Information Sources (MIT Press, 1977), this new work contains over 4,000 entries covering 24 different types of sources and including listings of both primary and secondary literature. Citations, which are annotated with both critical and descriptive evaluative comments as well as peer reviews where these were available, are grouped according to type of source, and then by broad subject areas. The comprehensive author and title indexes facilitate the search process. The book brings together those types of current information sources typically available in older reference works of this kind and also adds new categories not found systematically listed elsewhere.
