Cliff Richard: A Celebration

Cliff Richard has been a musical icon for more than four decades, indeed it is impossible to think of any British entertainer who has spanned the years and the generations and had more hits all over the world than this unique and much-loved man.
Born Harry Webb in Lucknow, India, in October 1940, Cliff Richard signed his first record contract in 1958 and quite simply never looked back. In a few short years he had become every young girl's dream, quickly rising to become a film star in such classics as Expresso Bongo and Summer Holiday. Television brought him into the living rooms - and hearts - of millions more fans, and his tours and shows have been huge hits the world over.
In A Celebration, he talks movingly about those early years and the influences that shaped him. He reveals how the excitement of performing kept him going back for more, and how his deep faith has made him even stronger as the years go by. He also talks about the great honour of receiving the OBE and, subsequently, his knighthood, and of the greatest theatrical thrill he has experienced thus far: playing the role of Heathcliff in his sell-out stage musical.
