Fiche containing reproductions of 229 lithographs, water colors, and drawings belonging to the Library of Congress that were produced by this famous lithographer, between 1822 and 1849. Swiss born lithographer. His lithos of the famous men of their times are mostly half-length or bust portraits, including likenesses of such figures as: Daniel Webster, James Knox Polk, and William Henry Harrison. Most portraits were done in Washington D.C., but also included is earlier work produced in Zurich, Paris, and Philadelphia, including portraits of kings, and a series of lithos from Gottfried Mind's Collection of Cats.
