Emily of New Moon

L. M. Montgomery's Emily is almost as popular as her Anne. Both were spunky, hard-nosed, irresistible orphan girls and both became immediate international successes. As a result of the great appeal of Montgomery's writing, the setting of her stories Prince Edward Island, Canada became a literary landmark visited by millions of loyal readers. Emily of New Moon was also made into a popular and award-winning TV series of the same name based on the book.
