Situations is intended to supplement a standard text in a French course, and as such has a careful selection of interesting readings intermixed with instructive pedagogy. The variety of readings reinforces the grammar, writing, listening, and speaking skills that make up language instruction. This edition brings a tighter focus of the readings, with more fiction, more descriptive and topical readings, and improved questions.
